DATA PROTECTION STATEMENT

All details you have provided in the application form will be kept confidential.

I understand that The Actors’ Benevolent Fund will hold my personal data and information about me in writing, or on a computer, in relation to my application for support. I give my consent for the Actors’ Benevolent Fund to process this information for the purposes of assessing my application for support. When you submit your details to us The Actors’ Benevolent Fund becomes a ‘data controller’ of your data. You can contact us at any time using the methods available in the CONTACT section of this website about how we use your data. We will process your data because you have asked us to do so. No other organisation will be given your data unless you have expressly requested this. Your data will be held on computers and paper files in the UK. If you have applied for help and your application is successful, we will keep your data for seven years from the date that our support to you ends. If your application is unsuccessful we will keep your data for one year from the date of our rejection before deleting it. If you have made a donation we will keep your data for a period of seven years from the date of the donation. If you have applied to become a Friend of the ABF we will keep your data for a period of seven years from the date you cease to be a Friend of the ABF. If you have successfully applied to become a member we will keep your data for a period of seven years following the date you cease to be a member. If your application for membership is unsuccessful your data will be kept for a period of one year before being deleted.

You have the right to: access the data we hold about you; correct any mistakes in the data we hold; make restrictions to the data we hold about you; object to us holding data about you; request that your data can be portable (shared easily with any other organisation), and; make a complaint. You can withdraw consent for us to hold your data at any time by contacting us in writing, using the CONTACT section of this website. We do not use any automated systems to process your data.
